In a recent operation, the Indian Navy demonstrated its might by rescuing a Malta-flagged vessel, MV Ruen, from the clutches of Somali pirates in a daring mission that involved marine commandos and an exciting exchange of gunfire thousands of kilometers from the Indian coast. Following this, the pirates were handed over to Mumbai Police for legal proceedings under the recent Maritime Anti-Piracy Act.
